Recommendation for Certification
Depending upon the degree program completed, graduates are eligible for State of Idaho professional educator certification. Applications for the Standard Elementary certificate, the Standard Secondary certificate, the Standard Exceptional Child certificate, the Administrator certificate, or the Pupil Personnel Services certificate are available on-line (see application bottom on left) or in the Office of the Dean, College of Education.
At the end of the semester in which degree requirements are completed, certification applications are forwarded to the State Department of Education Certification Office in Boise. Students who desire to pursue professional educator certification in a state other than Idaho are advised to consult with the Dean's office regarding reciprocity agreements with other states.
