School Psychology at ISU
The Idaho State University Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in School Psychology is approved by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).

The mission of the Idaho State University School Psychology Program is to support the educational, psychological, mental health, and social-emotional development of all students through the rigorous and systematic application of scientifically-based, problem-solving interventions and strategies. The context of training and practices of the School Psychology Program reflects a diverse and culturally sensitive approach that addresses child needs and promotes success for all learners.
The School Psychology faculty supports the scientist-practitioner model of training, and endeavor to exemplify this model through active, ongoing research and scholarly activities designed to improve and enhance the quality of the lives of children and their families. Through ongoing research and publication of scholarly works, the School Psychology faculty strives to contribute to the mission of the University, College of Education, the Department of School Psychology, Literacy and Special Education, and the National Association of School Psychologists.
In pursuit of this mission, we hold our faculty and students to the highest professional standards and direct our collective energies and resources to the fulfillment of standards that exemplify the training and practice of professional school psychology.
The ISU program is dedicated to promoting active problem-solving methodologies and evaluating effective interventions designed to further success and competence in the children and schools we serve.
Our program seeks to attract dedicated, full-time students who will contribute to the program and university in furthering our mission.
