Dr. Paul Jantz Ph.D, Assistant Professor of School Psychology

Dr. JantzDr. Paul B. Jantz completed his APA- and NASP-approved Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado in 1994.

Dr. Jantz teaches classes in clinical and diagnostic interviewing, clinical school psychology, group and individual counseling, diagnostic evaluation of learning difficulties, multicultural issues in school psychology, legal and ethical issues in school psychology, and he supervises school-based practicum experiences.

Dr. Jantz is an active consultant in the greater Idaho community in the areas of alternative education, school violence risk assessment, adolescent substance abuse, AD/HD, self-injurious behavior in adolescents, and traumatic brain injury.

Dr. Jantz’s current research interests lie in the areas of (a) traumatic
brain injury (TBI), (b) school-based assessment of children with TBI,
(c) school-based intervention strategies for children with TBI (d)
teacher/administrator/parent perceptions of implementation barriers as
they relate to program implementation (e) teachers perceptions of
self-efficacy, and (f) adolescent decision-making strategies as they
relate to risk-taking.
