Problem: As instructional designers you have been given the task of developing a Life Skills unit for high school seniors. The class will be given using WebCT. What proposal would you put forth to accomplish this task?

Solution:

Phase One: team selection and formation
(Number of team members, skills of team members, ground rules for [expectations] the team, use of formative evaluation incorporate at the beginning.)

Phase Two: Planning
(To include vision, mission/goals, objectives, budget/costing, tasking, lesson planning for the unit, time, and formative evaluation)

Phase Three: Instructional design
Use of ADDIE model
Analyze: Learner characteristics, requirements, ADA
Design: Architecture, concept map, flowcharts, storyboards, and Lesson Plans
Develop: Authoring, evaluation, LP's, content
Implement: Deployment
Evaluate: Updates, product improvement, feedback, measures for summative evaluation [usability testing, questionnaires, surveys, alpha and beta testing]
