A Message From the Dean

Dean HedeenWelcome to Idaho State University’s College of Education. Our College is a dynamic, progressive, and continually evolving model for teacher preparation excellence in Idaho and the intermountain region. The College of Education offers diverse, comprehensive, and nationally accredited educator preparation programs. Building upon our proud past, the College of Education continues a tradition of excellence in teaching, scholarship and service. Through partnerships with schools, outreach programs, and distance learning technologies, the College is forging a dynamic future for Idaho's children. Our faculty and students are dedicated to the concept of “By Teaching We Learn,” a philosophy that is deeply embedded throughout our programs. Through our partnerships with schools and our distance learning technologies, we are making it easier for our students to tailor a degree program to their location as well as to their needs.

If you are one of our thousands of successful graduates, we invite you to visit our alumni and development pages to see how you can personally help to build the College’s future during ISU’s second century of proud service.

Deborah L. Hedeen, Ph.D.
Dean
